Head Scratching

The Panthers went out and signed Darren Waller on Wednesday. Why? I have no clue.

In 2020, he caught 107 passes. That number dropped to 55, then 28, then 52 — followed by retirement. Last year, after unretiring, he caught 24.

I get that it's a no-harm signing. It may be to spark JT Sanders. But the bigger question is: why has this franchise never replaced Greg Olsen? Bryce has always had his limitations, so why not give him the type of player Cam had?

To me, this is a big name that will likely not make the roster.
